Party Dj – Epic 80s Theme Party Idea
Circa April 2019 – Ojai, CA – It’s a family retreat and the Party Dj! But where are all the kids? I’ll tell you in a moment.

Certainly parents need time off and to themselves even if it’s only once a year. Basically this party was a 4 day “get away” filled with family bonding exercises, games, competitions and fun.
During my arrival to set up I was greeted by another vendor. Correspondingly she was both a chaperone and a hired country line dancer. Altogether she explained to me what I didn’t get to see earlier or the day before. Furthermore the instructor was booked to help out as a chaperone during the day and then teach line dancing in the evening with me for the karaoke dj party.
Likewise this was our 3rd time the retreat hired us for this yearly event. Nonetheless this time around the parents decided to change up the pace and make the karaoke dj party a 80s theme. You’ll see in the picture the bright colors and attire from the 80s.
However, parents always realize that in order to have a better party they need to keep the kids busy and distracted. For example, at this moment in time of the picture, all the kids are eating popcorn and watching a movie with other young, hip female chaperones.
Karaoke & Country Line Dancing
Obviously the country line dance instructor was with us for the party dancing and karaoke. Overall the results will always favor the parents. Once the libations kick in guests will achieve twice as much fun dancing, twerking and gambling.
Specifically, yes, they had a few casino tables for added fun with a raffle tickets swapped out for the chips players won.
