Circa Dec 2018 – It’s a Hospital staff Holiday party led by our Corporate Event Dj Service package. The- Client requested a ton of R & B music but it elevated to a libation dance-a-thon music with everything and the kitchen sink.

Surprisingly there was no rush to the bar for a drink by the guests. The Latino guests delighted but my Filipino guests, well they didn’t really drink. Undoubtedly the Latino crowd was dancing to all the Motown music. Shortly after the party dj segued into old school music which is a sub genre of Motown.

Then we dropped Danza Kaduro one hour into the dancing and as usual, BOOM! About 20 minutes later the dancing guests got a little hot and just as the dance floor started to lose it’s first victims to fatigue, BAMM! We dropped Suavemente.

What is in a Event Dj Package?

Firstly there was no karaoke in this package or the photo booth. Mind you this sounds either typical or standard but you have to keep in mind it’s a “Goldie Locks” type of ‘it’s not too hot, not too cold’. Only a experienced dj would know to NOT play those two songs too early or too late in the event/party.

Most of the guys(djs) I know or work with have at least 7 years experience with weddings and corporate clients. They are my associate dj staff. Another way to describe them is as a still working full time as a dj. These guys specifically know or have acquired this particular instinct of hyper song selection. Equally talented are the djs for kids parties. Those parties are only 2-3 hours maximum.

Does the Event Dj include cocktail and dinner music?

Romancing guests with music is seductive. It’s similar to what stretching does for marathoners. You have to seduce the guest with chill cocktail hour music. Calm but laidback but not slow. For dinner the same thing but now a slower tempo. Then the last 15 minutes of the dinner hour we build up specific, recognizable songs leading up to the speech by the corporate big wigs and awards.

For example Mr Dj Services will play semi party tunes that you usually hear on commercials like “everlasting love (this could be)”. It’s distraction music – guests are in restroom or buying last minute raffle tickets etc.

In conclusion, even though these guests, who work for hospitals, see each other 6 days/12 hours a day, they had Fun with each other.
